The App is free to download. It shows the best places for enjoying drinks, nibbles or meals…and free Welcome drinks. You can use the App for :

• Finding those spots and their related information (opening hours, location, details of drinks & food menu etc.)
• Once on-site, ordering & paying directly via the App thus saving time and optimizing your entertainment time / your time with fun & friends. At no extra cost! You just have to enter your credit card details into the App which is duly secured
• Getting up to 1 free Welcome drink a day at one of our Partner venues (see ‘How much is a membership?’)

Skwoll is sensitive to protection against alcohol abuse and committed to respecting all applicable law and regulation. Therefore, Skwoll can only be used (whether for simple download or a Membership) by people over 18 years (see also ‘Responsible drinking’).

As of April 2019 (date of launch), the Skwoll App is available for free download on the Apple Store. In the course of 2019 (est. June), the Android version will also be available on the Google store.

The download of the App is free. As is the use for seeking information about bars & restaurants and even ordering/paying via the App. Only if you want to get up to 1 free Welcome drink per day at any of our partner venues, you have to become a Skwoll Member (see ’How much is a Membership?’)

As mentioned in the ‘What can I do with the Skwoll App?’ topic, there are 3 possible usages of the Skwoll App :

• Downloading and using it as a directory > is free,
• Using it for ordering & paying at the Venues > no extra cost but requires entering your payment card details,
• Taking a Skwoll Membership > requires entering your payment card details and paying the Membership to Skwoll.

As of April 2019, following payment cards are accepted: Mastercard, Visa, American Express

The App is free to download and try/use (see ‘How can I pay?’). If you decide to become a Member, you receive :

• 1 free Welcome drink a day at any of our venues for CHF 29.90 a month,
• If you subscribe for 6 months it’s CHF 149,90 i.e. 24.99 a month,
• If you subscribe for 12 months it’s CHF 239,90 i.e. 19.99 a month. This Membership for 30 drinks a month is named the ‘Tack Tack’ (Thanks, Thanks in Swedish) subscription.

You can also start with or go for our ‘Starter plan’:

• 2 free Welcome drinks a week at any of our venues for CHF 14.90 a month,
• If you subscribe for 6 months it’s CHF 74,90 i.e. 12.49 a month,
• If you subscribe for 12 months it’s CHF 119,90 i.e. 9.99 a month.

This Membership for 8 drinks a month is named the ‘Tack’ (Thanks) subscription.

What ever plan you opt for, you just have to enter your credit card details into the App (which is duly secured) and confirm & pay your subscription. Upon your confirmation of payment in the App registration form, your Membership is activated at once.

Once you have chosen your venue on the App, you get there. In the place:

• If you are a Skwoll Member : you can claim your free drink by ordering SOLELY via the App. Choose one of the Welcome drinks in the list of that Venue and order it (at no cost) via the App. The bartender will receive and acknowledge receipt of your order ; you will get a 1st notification on your App. Then, when the drink is ready, you will get a 2nd notification so you can pick it up at the dedicated Skwoll point at the bar.
• If you have at least entered your credit card details (even if not a Member) you can order drinks and/or food on the digital Menu of that venue. Add items into your e-cart and confirm & pay then. The bartender will receive and acknowledge receipt of your order ; you will get a 1st notification on your App. Then, when the drink/food is ready, you will get a 2nd notification so you can pick it up at the dedicated Skwoll point at the bar. That’s it ! As your payment was already done, just enjoy your time there.

You just have to opt for one of the Membership plans we propose in the ‘How much is a Membership’ section. Once activated, your Membership is valid and you benefit from your 1st free Welcome drink at any of the Partner venues presented in the App.

Upon subscription of you Membership, you can get following Welcome drinks:

• Alcohol-free drinks e.g. a soft drink, water, iced tea, syrup, coffee, milk etc.
• Wine, beer, cider, champagne i.e. alcohols with less than 15% Vol. alcohol.
• As a consequence, any beverage containing distilled alcohol cannot be provided as a Welcome drink (regulatory and legal constraints).

The choice of Welcome drinks is the responsibility of the Venue. Their only constraint is to respect the above-mentioned regulation and to provide at least a choice of 3 different alcohol-free drinks.

A venue is free to update the list of Welcome drinks at its own discretion (choice & frequency) subject to respecting the above-mentioned conditions.

When subscribing at any of the Membership plans (see ‘How much is a Membership?’) you can choose:

• either to renew it automatically for subsequent identical terms (the auto-renewal tick box is activated by default)
• or not to renew it. You should then deactivate the ‘auto-renewal’ tick box.

In the latter case, you will get a notification 3 days before expiration so you can renew your Membership and avoid any interruption of the Skwoll ‘free Welcome drink’ advantage.

Go in the App Menu (top left) and get to the My Membership section. There, you can cancel your Membership at any time by deactivating the auto-renewal tick box. Of course, the cancellation of the Membership will only apply at the end of the current period so you can still enjoy the remaining Welcome drinks. No refunding of running periods will be granted. Deleting the App itself does NOT automatically unsubscribe you.

We partner with top bars and restaurants. Skwoll launched in April 2019 in Lausanne and is currently offering a choice of about 15 venues in the city. This selection will continuously be extended over time as well in Lausanne as in further Swiss cities.

As soon as you activate the subscription on the App, you’re good to go. Immediately! (see ‘How much is a Membership?’ and ‘How can I get the daily free Welcome drink?’).

You get up to one free drink per day, depending on your Membership. You select the venue, but once you redeem your drink for the day, you cannot get another one until the next day. But you can come back to the same venue the next day or be adventurous and try something new, up to you.

Gift : I you wish to share Skwoll with your friends and family, it’s easy ! You can do it directly via the App. Once you have entered your credit card details you can offer a Membership. Just get to the ‘Offer a Membership’ section. Select a subscription, pay & send the message to the happy recipient with the form on that same page. He/she will get your email with a voucher code and will simply have to mention it in his/her Membership registration. That’s it.

Referral program (coming soon) : Get 10 CHF if you recommend Skwoll to a friend…and he will 10 CHF too ! If you have a Membership you just have to go to the ‘Referral’ section. Send the referral message from that page to the happy recipient. He/she will get your email with a voucher code and will simply have to mention it in his/her Membership registration. He will be granted a one-off 10 CHF discount on his new Membership and you will get another 10 CHF discount on your current membership as soon as your friend’s Membership is registered. Isn’t that easy and awesome?
